How to stop sales?

Discover the 3 ways how to stop sales
With our new rateplan-based system, you have more flexibility in managing your inventory. You can now stop sales at different levels: room level or rate level.
1. Stopping Sales at Room Level
When to use: When you want to stop sales for all offers related to a specific room type on a given date. For this purpose you just need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Go to the REVENUE tab.
Step 2: Select the Room Type on the left navigation panel.
Step 3: Select the date on the calendar.
Step 4: Click CLOSE SALES
Customization:
- Set a wider range of dates by selecting them on the calendar.
- Choose to stop sales on all channels or specific ones.
Confirmation: Click PUBLISH to confirm your changes
Visual indication: Closed dates will appear in red on the calendar with the status "CLOSED".
2. Stopping Sales at Rate Level
When to use: When you want to stop sales for specific offers/rates while keeping others open.
Steps:
Step 1: Go to the REVENUE tab.
Step 2: Select RATEPLANS on the left navigation panel.
Step 3: Select the dates on the calendar or go directly to CLOSE SALES.
Step 4: Choose to stop sales for all room types on the given rateplan.
Visual indication: Closed dates will appear on the rateplan's calendar with the status "CLOSED".
Important Notes:
- Reopening sales: To reopen sales, repeat the above steps and change the toggle button to "OPEN".
- Hierarchy: If you've stopped sales at the room level, you cannot reopen them at the rate level. You must first reopen sales at the room level.
3. Using Power Updater for Bulk Actions
When to use: When you need to stop sales for multiple rooms or rates at once.
Step 1: Go to the POWER UPDATER on the left navigation panel.
Step 2: Click OPEN/CLOSE.
Step 3: Select a date range, weekdays, channels, and rateplans/room types
Customization: Use the APPLY TO ALL option to quickly set the desired status (OPEN/CLOSE) for all selected items.
NOTES:
Remember: When stopping sales at the room level, you're automatically stopping sales for all related rateplans.
- For easier and faster setup, use the option APPLY TO ALL to move the options all the once for the desired position (OPEN/CLOSE)
