Control Daily Sales with Meal Plan Stop Sale

HOME > Revenue > Meal Plans > Availability Calendar

GuestCentric application is ready to give hoteliers independent, daily control over meal plan sales directly inside the backoffice.
Keeping things simple for your hotel, you can now open or close meal plan availability without unlinking packages or altering base rate plans.

What is the Meal Plan Availability Calendar?

Until now, meal plans were directly tied to rate plans, forcing hoteliers to rely on workarounds—like removing associations or deactivating plans—during temporary restaurant closures, staffing constraints, or seasonal shifts.

This new release introduces flexible, daily-level management over meal plan sales:

- Granular & Bulk Flexibility: Open/stop sales for specific dates directly in the Meal Plan Calendar. Perform bulk updates across date ranges via Power Updater
- Smarter Guest Journey: Auto-adjusts totals for partial stays, alerts guests to unavailable dates, and offers seamless fallback options
- Zero Operational Friction: Confirmed bookings remain completely untouched when sales are stopped
- Clean Operations & PMS Sync: Variable meal plans show clear daily breakdowns on guest confirmation emails and deliver seamlessly to your PMS
- Full Audit Trail: Every availability change is logged with the User, Source (Calendar vs. Power Updater), Timestamp, and Hotel ID

How to Manage Meal Plan Availability?

STEP 1: Access the Meal Plan Calendar

- Log into the GuestCentric backend
- Go to Revenue > Meal Plans
- Select Availability Calendar

STEP 2: Set Daily or Bulk Restrictions

- Daily Updates: Click directly on specific dates in the calendar to toggle "Stop Sale" on or off for individual meal plans
- Bulk Updates: Use Power Updater to apply "Stop Sale" across date ranges, weekdays, and multiple meal plans at once.

STEP 3: Save Changes

Click Save to apply your updates instantly to the booking engine

Notes:

- This feature gives you full control over meal plan inventory without affecting your underlying rate plans or room availability
- Existing bookings created before a Stop Sale was applied remain confirmed and fully intact
- Audit trail logs are automatically maintained for security and operational tracking
