How can I manage Guarantees in Rate Plans?

You are now able to configure guarantees policies separetely from cancellation policies.

STEP 1: SETUP > PAYMENTS > GUARANTEES.

STEP 2: By default the system provides you with three guarantee policies: "100% at time of booking" "Non refundable" and "Pay at the hotel" (These cannot be deleted from the system). The "Pay at the hotel" guarantee policy is settled as default automatically but it can always be changed.

STEP 3: Its possible to create new Guarantees policies, and add it to their Room types, Promotions and Special Offers - please click on the "NEW" button.

STEP 4: Enter the details according to your needs

- Active: If it's active it will be possible to assign it to rooms/Rate Plans
- Guarantee: If a credit card is required at the time of the booking
- Installments: to be used when integrated with a "Payment Gateway" - parcial payments. More infomration - click here.
- Policy Teaser: The policy hightlight text that appears on the Booking Engine

  • Guarantee Policy - Text to describe more details about the guarantee.
  • Deposit Rules - The behavior and setup of the deposit. 

Example: For a deposit of the full amount of the stay if the reservation is done 15 days prior to checkin then it should be done like the image above. Can be set by %, by number of nights, Fixed fee (€) or daily rates.

- Payments - You need to select the payment types you want to add to this guarantee policy. 

STEP 5:  Make sure you save all information entered by clicking on the SAVE/SAVE AND CLOSE button.


To assign offers, you can select the ASSIGN OFFERS button.

You are now able to change and select the Guarantee policy you want to the room or Rate Plan.
Don´t forget to use the "restore guarantee policy" tick box when you change a guarantee policy for an existing room type/rate plan.

ATENTION:

  • Please note that after a guarantee policy is created you can only change the guarantee description, not the rules.
  • In order to have all the new room types and rate plans with the right policy, you must set the policy you want as default - "Set as Default" button.
  • In order to translate the guarantees policies, you should access Website/Booking engine tab > Translate > Setup
