Channel Management - Process Overview

Upgrading to Channel Management will allow you to synchronize all offers displayed in different channels in one place. From now on, on Revenue tab you will be able to update one offer to all channels and receive all reservations in one list. This will update automatically the availability and will update all channels.

IMPORTANT: BE AWARE THAT OVERBOOKING MIGHT HAPPEN! OUR CHANNEL MANAGEMENT TOOL DOES HELP YOU TO DECREASE THE RISK BUT IT'S STILL POSSIBLE TO OCCUR.

 

STEP 1:  We will send you an Excel file for you to fill with the list of channels to integrate and the correspondent login link and credentials.

STEP 2:   We will validate the details and if needed we will contact you to update missing details.

STEP 3:  We will review all channels and offers and we will make a list of each room on each channel.

STEP 4:  We will contact you to review the analisys done and along with you we will review the possible mapping.

  • New room types might need to be created in order to be able to connect offers on all channels.

  • Some changes might be needed to be requested to your channel account manager, such as: 

            -  XML account switches 

            -  Promotions will have to be changed into rate plans

STEP 5:  We will schedule a date for the mapping and activation.


NOTE: Channels are activated only on Mondays to Thursday mornings.

STEP 6:  On the activation date, together we will proceed with the mapping and you will be able to reconfirm all details

  • Channels first publications will be made (400 DAYS)

  • We will proceed with some tests such as: 

            -  updating rates and availability

            -  stopping and opening sales

            -  creating a test reservation

STEP 7:  Once the Tests have been successfully completed, the Channel Management is Live and ready.

  


ATTENTION:

  • Be aware that overbooking might happen! Our Channel management tool does help you to decrease the risk but it’s still possible to occur.

  • The risk will be higher on properties with lower availability.

  • Reservations are downloaded to our system, based on the minimum time established by each channel policies. It can take an average of 20 minutes.
